Forsyth County Poole’s Mill Elementary School

Poole’s Mill Elementary School was designed to house 1,125 students with 60 regular classrooms for a total of 75 Instructional units. Cars can unload students at the front door under the drive-thru porte-cochere.

Students and teachers all love “Main Street” – a wide corridor that bisects the front from the rear of the building. This area boasts high clerestory windows that give light to interior windowed classrooms. Durable porcelain tile enhances all corridors.

Construction is steel frame with masonry infill and brick veneer. The low slope roof is modified bitumen sloping to gutters and downspouts, piped to the storm system. Individual water source heat pumps provide HVAC for each room.

Our one story prototype elementary school for Forsyth County has been built six times.
