Winder-Barrow High School

In, 2002 LPBC completed a two-story classroom addition to this facility, adding 8 new science suites and 20 standard classrooms. We also expanded the cafeteria and added natural light to that space.

In 2006, we started the second phase of expansion that completed in August 2008. Construction began with the demolition of the oldest classroom buildings and the old gymnasium. A new state-of-the-art gymnasium was added along with a new two-story classroom facility. All existing facilities (except the 2002 building) were completely gutted, remodeled, and re-roofed. The new facility boasts the following: New lobby, admin, Media, Marketing, Health Services, band, choral, weight room, Family Sciences, Construction Lab, Automotive Lab, and other standard core classrooms.

This site is completely land locked in the city of Winder, and construction had to be phased, with portions of the existing campus always occupied.

LPBC is proud of our part in the teamwork it took to bring this project together.
